The public will get an update on works to build the new Queensferry Crossing at events in January 2017.
Transport Scotland has organised public briefing sessions on Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday, January 25. They will take place from 3-4.30 p.m. and 7-8.30 p.m. on both days.
The briefings will be held at the FRC Contact and Education Centre (located next to the Forth Road Bridge Administration Building in South Queensferry). The postcode for the site is EH30 9SF.
The meetings will be open to anyone interested in the project. Details of the agenda will be publicised nearer the dates. You can also find updates on the Forth Bridges website.
In a letter to stakeholders, David Climie, Forth Replacement Crossing Project Director, said: “There continues to be excellent progress across all aspects of the FRC Project since our last update briefing in January 2016. The Queensferry Crossing is nearing completion and is due to open in May 2017 and within the reduced budget range of £1.325 – £1.35 billion. To date, we have released over £245m savings from the original estimated budget since construction started in June 2011.”
